Whangamata Dance Studio

Established in 1999, Whangamata Dance Studio (WDS) is a small studio with a big passion for dance. Inclusivity and supporting each other are what we believe in and along with our students & their families, we have built an incredible community that allows dancers of all ages and abilities to feel encouraged and reach their full potential.

The New Zealand Association of Modern Dance syllabus is taught in Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary and Tap. For further information on their syllabus work, please visit  www.nzamd.co.nz

WDS follows the school terms, and starts classes at the beginning of the school year, working towards examinations held in August. All students sit exams for an examiner appointed by the NZAMD, and receive a certificate or rosette depending on which level they are at.  All students are given a results card, with a mark and comments, reflecting their achievement.

Whangamata Dance Studio classes are held in the Whangamata Memorial Hall, Port Road, Whangamata. (Next to the RSA, opposite the Baptist Church.)
